Event: Peg Street Pawnbroker leaving
After all three items are purchased, a final dilemma fires and the unusual location disappears once you resolve it.
Peg Street PawnbrokerMaking your way down sales records and crude counterfeit receipts, you push through a disappointed crowd of fellow hoarders only to find the swindler’s haven stripped of its apocryphal stock and its notorious proprietor.
A solitary artefact confirms his presence: a wooden peg leg, propped against the log where his tent once stood. Compared to his other enhancements, it seems oddly unremarkable.

Event: Is That My Leg?!
If a character has the Peg Leg equipped, there is a very low chance (0.6% chance per turn) each turn for a follow-up event: a ghostly figure returns to buy the leg for a large sum, or you can refuse and upgrade it instead.
Is That My Leg?!At first, you only notice the steed. What snaps you back to attention is a voice you’ve heard before, now quavering with delight, and you notice the familiar silhouette astride the creature. His gloved hand trembles with excitement as he points past your eyes, past your armour, and fixes his gaze on the simple prosthetic tucked haphazardly inside your belongings, sitting all but forgotten amongst greater riches.
“Me pegleg!… That’s me lucky pegleg!” He wails, confounded and elated in equal measure. “I thought it lost to cruel gods and crueller roads!” Sliding off his phantasmal mount and prostrating himself in theatrical supplication, he blusters an offer so ludicrously generous it defies all reason, his good eye never leaving the unassuming piece of wood.
- The leg isn’t for sale!
It’s a sentimental family heirloom, or so you tell them…
- Lucky Peg Leg
- Absolutely it’s for sale!
