Faulty Doomsphere
Faulty Doomsphere is an unusual location in Total War: Warhammer III. It boosts local research but raises corruption and is costly to remove, it can detonate at high corruption.
Understandably, not everyone enjoys devastating (and unstable) weapons of mass destruction appearing in their territory, so you may disable this as a possibility if you prefer.
This unusual location can be disabled in the settings before starting a campaign.

A cystic outgrowth on the orb's Warpstone housing feeds the malignance barely contained within, causing its Chaotic innards to emit a sinister drone that penetrates the thick steel.
