Covenant Laboratory

Covenant Laboratory is an unusual location in Total War: Warhammer III. It can spawn periodic plagues, raises Nurgle corruption locally, and can provide replenishment and reduced spell costs when no plague is active.

Be warned that there is a chance – albeit an extremely small chance – that this Cult can cause a potentially horrific, and game-ending, scenario through means of Plague.

This unusual location can be disabled in the settings before starting a campaign.

Covenant of the Crimson Plague
Most of the substances in this nightmarish slop coexist peacefully in malodorous ebullition, yet others gurgle a maddening, corruptive murmur.
  • Crimson Fever: 5% chance per turn for a weak plague to infect this region
  • Crimson Pox: 1% chance per turn for a damaging plague to infect most of your faction
  • Crimson Plague: 0.01% chance per turn for a devastating plague to infect the entire world
  • Nurgle corruption: +20 (local region)
  • When this settlement has no active Plague:
  • Winds of Magic cost: -20% for all spells (all region owner armies)
  • Immune to all non-Plague attrition (all region owner armies)
  • Casualty replenishment rate: +10% (all region owner armies)
  • Enables replenishment in foreign territory (all region owner armies)
